Uno Mas Tacos y Tequila

While in oxford we were walking around on mothers day trying to find a place to eat, 2 hr waits everywhere and the prices were crazy! We were about to give up when we found this place!! They were crazy packed but still had room to seat us! ...

We had yet another (4th visit) epic experience and this time sitting at the bar. Jordan was personable, a fantastic bartender, and great fun to chat with. We had margaritas (best in Oxford no doubt) and some of their very unique taco selections...also amazing! Overall fantastic service and really strong modern mex with traditional authentic roots.

My husband and I went yesterday (Sept. 8th) to Uno Mas Tacos y Tequila to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful experience! First, our server Cristina was very sweet and attentive. Checked on us a couple of times and brought us everything we asked for promptly and with a smile (you could tell even under the mask). She brought chips and salsa (yummy) and we ordered some guacamole as an appetizer too (which was very good, but if you're willing to try, I suggest you add a bit of cilantro and some fresh lemon juice ). Suffice to say we ate ALL the chips and guac. I ordered a Frozen Margarita and it was (to my taste) perfectly balanced: not too strong but with a good kick, not too tart but definitely flavorful, and most important, sweet but not overpowering sweet. Next we ordered the steak burrito which was SO tasty I didn't even get the chance to take a picture because my husband digged right in. But definitely recommended! Last (but NOT LEAST) was the Molcajete de carne that I ordered. I left this for last because, people, this is a GAME CHANGER. Seriously one of the tastiest, most flavorful, rich, well-marinated and well-condimented Mexican dishes I have ever eaten, and I've been to Mexico on vacation. Absolutely freakin' delicious cheesy goodness. Totally SCRUMPTIOUS. You may think I'm exaggerating but no (and this is why I waited till today to write the review instead of doing so in my happy tipsy state yesterday). Of course, this is a personal opinion and I can't claim everyone will love it as well as I did, but I'd be VERY surprised if they didn't. The creamy meat sauce is making me drool just thinking about it. We even asked for a to-go box for the leftovers (not very fancy, but I just had to). Fair warning, it comes scalding hot (literally still boiling inside the pot), but you can ask for a side dish to put some of the food in and let it cool faster. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and we will definitely come back!

Me and my friends went for food and drinks one night and it was so fun. The food is amazing. The guacamole was fantastic. The drinks were delicious!! and on top of all that the service was amazing Our waiter Latrice was fantastic!! Definitely recommend trying to this place out!

This is an Oxford constant for us! We love everything in Uno Mas- right from the minute you sit down and they bring out a giant tub of (complimentary) chips and salsa- I have to get my husband to stop eating those - they’re so good We usually order a round of their tacos and margaritas to begin with. I like the cathead vodkas they use, lots of variations of the classic marg, we’re never bored The tacos have a surprising amount of vegetarian variety for me - my fav is mushroom and cactus My husband loves the fried chicken and the chorizo tacos I recently tried the veggie enchiladas and was not disappointed We LOVE the street corn dip- that crunch of taki taki on top is absolutely fire The star of the show is their quesadillas- we usually get black beans paired with cheese to accommodate my vegetarian restrictions- they make it from scratch every time and its so so flavorful All in all- food’s always fresh, high quality, made to order. We’ve NEVER gotten sick from eating here (which is saying something for mexican places haha) we keep coming back for more- literally twice in a weekend sometimes. This is an absolutely fantastic spot! Loved the environment! The customer service is elite and our drinks were fantastic! We usually get food but just drinks today!! The bartender is excellent and our server was so attentive, sweet and helpful! Would recommend! We are going back tomorrow
